Privacy
Trust is the foundation of this community. That starts before you join, on this page. Here is exactly what happens with your data, in plain language.
Last updated: July 2026.
Who is responsible
Niya is operated by Rachid Et-Taïbi, Belgium. For anything related to your data, write to rachid@niya.life. A person answers.
What we collect
Almost nothing. There is one form on this site: the waitlist. If you fill it in, we receive:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Optionally, who brought you here
- Optionally, one sentence about what brought you here
That is the complete list. If you never fill in the form, we collect nothing about you at all.
What we do not do
- No analytics. We do not measure your visit.
- No cookies. This site sets none.
- No tracking pixels, no fingerprinting, no advertising tags.
- No newsletter. Your email is used to respond to you personally and to tell you when the door opens. Nothing else, unless you ask.
- We never sell, rent, or trade your data. To anyone. Ever.
Why we process your data
Legal basis under the GDPR: your consent (Article 6.1.a). You give it by submitting the waitlist form. You can withdraw it at any time with one email, and we delete your entry.
Who touches the data on the way
Running a website without any service providers is not possible. We chose the smallest, most protective set:
- Cloudflare hosts this site and processes technical connection data (such as your IP address) to deliver the pages and protect against abuse. Cloudflare acts as a processor under GDPR-compliant terms.
- Bunny Fonts serves the typefaces. Bunny Fonts is a European, GDPR-first service that does not log or store personal data. This is why we do not use Google Fonts.
- Resend delivers your waitlist submission to us as an email, under GDPR-compliant data processing terms.
No other party is involved.
How long we keep it
Your waitlist entry is kept until the door opens and you decide, or until you ask us to remove it. Whichever comes first.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can, at any time:
- Ask what data we hold about you (access)
- Have it corrected (rectification)
- Have it deleted (erasure)
- Restrict or object to processing
- Receive it in a portable format
- Withdraw your consent
One email to rachid@niya.life is enough. No forms, no procedure.
If you believe we handled your data wrongly, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority: dataprotectionauthority.be. We would rather you write to us first, so we can fix it.
